Jan Talbert, my husband and I attended Connie's service. It was a beautiful celebration of her dynamic and too short life. The thing I remember most about it was a full screen size shot of Connie's face lighting up the room with that giant, beautiful smile of hers. She did radiate so. A sad loss.
It was sad to hear of Connie's passing. We hung out a lot in senior year and I would run into her now and then after that. Does anyone know what cause of death was?
I first met Connie on the school bus and was drawn to her smile and friendliness. She was radiant and special and I feel privileged to have known her and saddened by the news of her untimely death.
Connie and I were good friends. We spent quite a bit of time together and I knew her as a very caring and sensitive person.
She came up and stayed with me for a week during our senior year and met many of my classmates who all liked her. She even dated the "other" new student in our class who was in a band and quite creative.
We lost touch at times, but I talked to her when she had been diagnosed with cancer. She thought she had beaten it but the initial lump reappeared & didn't leave.
I flew down to attend her service with Jane and Jan and sent her brother the snapshots I had taken of her in Corvallis afterwards.

My father was friends with Connie's Uncle, Jim Bedford. I called him to tell him when my Dad passed away. He told me Connie had died. Very sad.
