I knew David Foote from Mr. Arnot's International Relations class. The debates were memorable. I was often a lazy student but I worked hard on my debates. David teamed up with me and Art Hopgood to take the Anti side on the topic of the US continued war in Vietnam. I remember going to David's house to work on my research. We took it very seriously. I wish I had gotten to know him better and I would like to learn more about him if other friends want to share memories.  I was very sad to learn about his death in the accident while traveling with the Oregon ski team less than a year after our graduation.

Sorry to hear about Dave.... Very nice guy....   Stats say CAR ACCIDENTS take a lot of our friends when they were young....I could have died a few times in car accidents... just lucky I guess

Went to Dave's house (after a football game?) and remember lying on the floor and playing chess with him and his brother perpendicular kept removing Dave's pieces  when he wasn't looking.  His brother and I had a serious case of the giggles as Dave tried to figure out why he was doing so badly.  Suddenly there was this odd choking sound from his brother who was on his stomach and had been giggling.  Dave's brother sat up and said, "you'll never believe this, but I just caught my braces in the rug." which sent us all into gales of laughter.  I believe Kathleen Poole was also at that little get together.
